The design had incorporated a straight slope between two level plains.
To get the angular effect the customer had specified we installed a steel edge at the top and bottom of the slope.
Then, methodically working from the top to the bottom, we precisely leveled the now nourishing soil.
The ground was initially marshy and sodden.
We began by clearing all the roots and weeds that were occupying the space.
We then meticulously mixed tonnes of sand into the ground to improve the drainage and allow turf to properly establish it's roots.
Between mixing we needed to tread down and compress the ground so it would not shift at all in the future.
As soon as we could we began laying the turf and when a section was finished it was watered right away.
